Perched on a steep hillside in the north end of the Dundee Hills, Anderson Family Vineyard epitomizes the word hidden gem. Tastings are always held by appointment and in person with the vineyard owner and winemaker Cliff Anderson. Cliff and wife Allison purchased the site in 1989 and began planting the vineyard in 1992. Nearly three decades later they continue to tend to their organically farmed vineyard on this steep, rocky Dundee Hills slope. The wines are crafted onsite using native yeast and moved entirely by gravity, then aged slowly in the cool barrel cave. The setting is hard to beat and the wines are excellent and highly sought after.
Why Featured: Flavorful wines in a private, personal setting away from the normal Dundee crowds.

Apolloni Vineyards’ roots originate in the Arezzo region of Tuscany, Italy. Alfredo Apolloni and his wife Laurine purchased their 62-acre property near Forest Grove in 1999. They moved from the mid-west, set up house, and soon were expanding the existing 5 acre vineyard on the property. Today, they have a wide range of varietals for their winemaking team to transform into wine, including Nebbiolo and other warm climate varietals sourced from Washington that harken back to the family’s Italian roots.
Why We Love Apolloni: Be transported to Tuscany when you visit their villa and sample Pinot Noir and Italian varietals while you enjoy the sunshine on the patio and the bocce courts.

Celestial Hill is a perfect blend between talented winemaking and a unique vineyard site in Oregon’s coastal foothills. The winemaker is Jay Somers, who you may know from his JC Somers label and previous work at J Christopher. Jay brings a deft touch to Celestial Hill, which is located in downtown Carlton in the winery space formerly occupied by Flaneur. Celestial Hill Vineyard itself is located nearby in the Oregon coast range, which is known for wines of bracing acidity and complexity thanks to longer hang times for ripening.

Craft Wine Co. brings three brands under one roof: Omero, Minimus, and Origin. Omero was started in 2008 and pays homage to the rich history of the Willamette Valley representing simple, fresh, approachable wines using traditional methods. Minimus kicked off in 2011 as a series of one-off experiments and continues to be a space for innovative winemaking. Origin launched in 2014 to highlight special wines that stand out from the rest, which means the Origin wine line-up changes each vintage. The Craft team pride themselves in making authentic wines, from one-off experiments and special occasion wines, to everyday wines for the dinner table.

The Moore Family are some of the nicest in the wine industry and always welcome guests like family to their small vineyard outside Carlton. Ron and Linda Moore started MonksGate in the early 2000s, clearing the land themselves for the 20-acre vineyard. This isn’t your grandiose million dollar tasting room— rather, a casual family operation that speaks to the heart and soul of the Oregon wine experience. With tastings set in a renovated garage and outside around the historic barn, you’ll work your way through Yamhill-Carlton AVA Riesling, Rosé and Pinot Noir. The Moore family conducts all of the tastings, so you can really dive deep into how the wines were made and the blending decisions for each vintage.
Why We Love MonksGate: There are multiple patios and tasting areas throughout the property to spread out and enjoy the views and wine.

Patton Valley Vineyard offers beautiful wines, spectacular views and friendly staff from their hillside winery in Gaston, Oregon. The winery is situated in the center of the 30-acre estate vineyard, which grows Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, and Chenin blanc. Unlike tasting rooms far removed from the actual winery, Patton Valley’s tasting room is part and parcel of the winery itself. You’ll get an up-close look at the winemaking process, especially if you visit during harvest in the fall. Guests rave about the friendly staff and the quality of the Pinot Noir and other wines crafted at Patton Valley. Patton Valley is also a fully sustainable winery, certified by LIVE (low input viticulture and enology).
Why We Love Patton Valley: Beyond excellent Pinot Noir, the Gamay Noir, pétillant natural and Chenin Blanc are seldom found elsewhere in Oregon.

Based in Oregon’s Rogue Valley, Troon Vineyard crafts wines that thrive in the hot Southern Oregon climate. The satellite tasting room in McMinnville offers a chance to break away from Pinot Noir and try bigger red wines that thrive in warmer conditions, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The white wines also are a departure from what is normally offered in the Willamette Vally, with Vermentino and Roussanne being highlights. The wines are all crafted from fruit farmed organically and biodynamically.
Why We Love Troon: Great variety of wines that break outside of the traditional Pinots and Chardonnay founds in the Willamette valley, plus a gorgeous new downtown McMinnville tasting room!
