Helicopter Tour of Willamette Valley Wineries

There is no better way to tour Oregon’s Willamette Valley than by helicopter.

Tour DeVine by Heli offers helicopter wine tasting tours at a rotating selection of Willamette Valley wineries. Tours are offered Friday and Saturday spring through fall and include visits to two or three different wineries as well as a catered lunch. The result is an absolutely unique way to experience Oregon wine country and quickly get a feel for the diverse geography of the Willamette Valley.

Hot Air Balloon Morning + Day Tasting

This is a one-of-a-kind experience in the Willamette Valley, and a great way to see (and taste) what makes the Willamette Valley so unique. Your balloon adventure begins early in the morning at the Newberg Airpark as you help inflate the balloon, take a lovely flight over the vineyards and finish with a champagne brunch. Next, a Personal Sommelier will meet you at the Airpark and whisk you away to visit three to four wineries in the Willamette Valley (if you are a WineryHunt club member, you could be taken to your featured wineries!).

Your wine tour includes transportation to and from the Airpark, all tastings fees and a delicious lunch of locally sourced items overlooking the vines. Throughout the day, your Personal Sommelier will teach and educate you about your personal palate and how the wines in the Valley compare and contrast to wines around the world. This is more than just a wine tour…..it’s a wine country experience.

Tours and wine tastings with Professor Jeff Peterson

Educational Wine Courses from Jeff Peterson, Vinum Docet

Vinum Docet is a wine education and tour company led by Dr. Jeff D. Peterson. Jeff calls Oregon’s Willamette Valley home and travels frequently to wine regions around the world. A professor at Linfield College in McMinnville, he is a faculty member of the Wine Studies Program through the Evenstad Center for Wine Education, teaching courses in Viticulture, the Geography of Wine, and the Sociology of Work and Occupations of wine. Jeff recently launched Vinum Docet to offer educational wine courses and guided tours in Oregon and abroad.

Vinum Docet has a series of exceptional wine courses coming up in McMinnville, with particular focus on wines from Bolivia, Argentina, and sparkling wines from around the world.
